The Health Emporium is now proud to stock the Australian owned & made Leif range of body washes & lotions, whose hypnotic smells have quickly seen them fly off our shelves; we can’t wait to expand their range in-store to include hair care and laundry products.
Leif highlights native ingredients in their products, including Vitamin-C rich Kakadu Plum, antioxidant-laden Wild Rosella, and my personal favourite, intensely fragrant Boronia (which blooms for just a few weeks each year in Australia).
Each product is accompanied by essential oils and botanical extracts including woody-smelling Patchouli, Vitamin-E rich Nutgrass, antibacterial Eucalyptus oil and circulation-stimulating Alpine Pepper.
As a naturopath, I opt for personal care products with no or minimal chemicals, many of which are known as ‘endocrine disruptors’ that can wreak havoc on our hormones- especially for women! What I love about Leif is that many of their cleansing aids such as their body washes, are derived from natural sources. For example, the Boronia body wash’s cleansing agent is Cocamidopropyl Betaine, a surfactant that comes from coconut oil that washes away dirt whilst leaving the skin conditioned, rather than stripped. Leif’s entire range is free from sulphates, parabens, sensitising soaps, & mineral oil fillers. In short, it is a naturopath-approved range!
Their sleek packaging in earthy tones is a gorgeous way to enhance any bathroom or kitchen space, and many of the products have 1 litre refill pouches available to minimise the environmental impact of packaging. What’s more is Leif is vegan, cruelty-free (not tested on animals!) and gentle enough for all skin types.
Swing by the store for a tester to smell what the fuss is all about- they make a luxurious treat for oneself or the perfect gift for another.
